Traditional Sikh pre-wedding events in Italy

Kavan and Harman, a sweetheart Indian couple from the US, had a real wedding holiday in Italy. They wanted all of their closest family and friends to fly to Umbria, a beautiful region in central part of our country. And they had all of the traditional Sikh pre-wedding events organized by our team in a stunning castle of Italy.

This castle won their hearts from the first look because it was exactly as they were imagining their dream wedding venue. Also, being it so versatile, with so many indoor and outdoor spaces, we could plan the 4 days of events very well, ensuring that every day guests were able to enjoy a new and different space.

All pre-wedding events with their own theme

The bride had very specific ideas on the decor of each event, different color palettes, different setups, different themes. She sent us inspiration pictures and videos and we were able to create exactly what she wanted. Thanks also to the decorator we collaborate with we made decorations with fabrics and tassels. And we also used our authentic Indian décor, to ensure that all the pre-wedding events corresponded to the wishes of the bride.

In these 4 days there were several pre-wedding events. We started with Chunni inside the ancient halls of the castle. Then we had Mehndi with an amazing Italian Henna artist who created a beautiful design for the bride. Our team set this event up in pink, white and turquoise theme. And amazing chefs from the castle prepared pizza live for the guests who really enjoyed this authentic Italian dinner. Then it was time for Mayian, organized on the panoramic terrace of the castle. The women prepared a very particular rangoli with two lovely chicks and the wedding hashtag, so sweet! And our Indian chef prepared traditional laddu for the ceremony.

Jaggo night took place in the main courtyard of the castle, under the fairy lights. It was preceded by ladies’ Sangeet where women sung Punjabi songs and played the dolki that we were able to get. Amazing dance performances were prepared for the bride and groom who were very pleased by them. And of course, Jaggo dances were so engaging, also thanks to the great Punjabi DJ who got all the guests dancing every night. The theme of that night was yellow, and we created such a lovely setup for our sweet couple. The last pre-wedding event was Choora with beautiful bangles and kaleeras put on Kavan’s arms by her uncle.

Staying all these days in Italy, the guests of this Sikh destination wedding were also able to relax by the pool, have free time and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Many of them took advantage of a free day to go on the sightseeing tours organized by our travel manager. And Kavan and Harman enjoyed their romantic pre-wedding shooting in the beautiful surroundings of the castle. Our photo and video team carefully captured every moment of the celebration, creating great memories of this amazing Sikh destination wedding in Italy.
