Indian pre-wedding event in Italy
Christian and Jesmin are an extremely sweet fusion couple. She is Indian Tamil, and he is Danish, and they both live in Denmark. They reached out to us to plan their intimate wedding with only 50 guests. In the beginning, we were supposed to take care of both Indian and Civil wedding. However, they then had to move the Tamil ceremony back home a few months prior, since the dates they chose for their Indian wedding in Italy were not auspicious according to their Pandit. But they didn’t want to give up their dream of having their wedding weekend in Italy because it’s a very dear place to them.
For that reason, they decided to hold the other events in Italy, including the Welcome Party and the Civil Ceremony. However, Jesmin did not want to give up the Indian tradition during the celebrations. She decided to have her pre-wedding event in Italy such as Mehndi and Sangeet party. In fact, we, who initially expected to have to organize the whole Indian wedding, were happy that there would have been at least this Indian pre-wedding event as it is the most joyful and fun one.
The location they chose for the wedding was a small village in the countryside with a beautiful view of the Umbrian valley, a garden with a pool bar corner and various gazebos.
And that’s where we set up this Indian pre-wedding event. We set up a gazebo completely dedicated to the henna corner where our Mehndi artist decorated the guests’ hands. Our Indian chef prepared a typical Indian street food pre-wedding dinner which was served by the pool.
The highlight of the evening were the dancers of a Bollywood dance company run by the most famous Indian choreographer in Italy. The talented dancers first performed various dances to honor the bride and groom and then involved all the guests in group dances, teaching the non-Indian guests all the steps; everyone had a blast. Even the bride and her sisters, together with their mother, prepared choreographies for the groom and it was truly romantic. The evening continued with the disco party together with our Dhol player which made everything even more authentic.
The bride with her wonderful red Lehenga and the groom with his beige Sherwani were beautiful together. All the guests complimented on such an engaging evening. We were very satisfied to have been able to give life to a 100% traditional Indian pre-wedding event thanks to our trusted suppliers.
