Gorgeous 3-day Indian wedding celebration in a Tuscan villa

Nikita and Kamal, a young couple from the UK, both love Tuscan landscapes with their soft hills, their cyprus-lined roads, and their majestic Medici villas. And this is why the couple chose one of these spectacular villas at the gates of Florence for their Indian wedding in Tuscany. The beautiful villa, rich with history, is located in a large, private park with its own lake and ample open spaces and gardens. All that providing various settings in which to host the three days of events, the bride and groom’s gift to the guests who came all the way to Italy for their wedding!

For the first day, once the guests got settled into their rooms at the villa, we organized a typical Italian-style pizza party. The dinner was followed by an outdoor movie night complete with an ice cream truck and popcorn! However, the second day was the most important day of events beginning with the Pithi ceremony, followed by Sangeet and Mehendi, with our fabulous henna artists creating stunning designs. After that the guests were served an informal lunch with Indian food, all culminating in the majestic Hindu ceremony which was set up in a lovely garden of the villa.

For the occasion we setup a beautiful Mandap decorated with gorgeous flowers, which perfectly matched the bridal outfit. In fact, the bride asked for a specific shade of red – red Valentino, which we executed perfectly. Moreover, she asked for the fabrics of the Mandap to be double: red ones combined with candid white ones.

The groom arrived on a white horse, preceded by our Dohl player who guided the Baraat. The bride, adorned in stunning jewelry and a beautiful traditional red lehenga, was accompanied by her three dedicated and loyal sisters. To deal with the afternoon summer heat, we had set up colorful fans and umbrellas in addition to providing a refreshment corner to keep the guests hydrated. The ceremony was exciting and intense, the beautiful layout and colorful saris creating a magical atmosphere. That evening the wedding dinner was served outdoors in front of the villa with its panoramic views of the Florentine hills.

We could talk on and on about this beautiful wedding, for it was no small affair; after all, the bride changed her attire six times like a true star, and most of the guests did the same! But our greatest joy, in addition to seeing the love between this adoring couple as they came together, was the positive feedback from many of the guests, who considered this wedding to have been the most beautiful they had ever witnessed!
