Romantic Indian beach wedding in Paestum, Italy
Reshal and Manish, a lovely couple from Leicester, UK, had always dreamed of having a beach wedding in Italy. And since Italian beaches are so famous worldwide, it’s no wonder that this bride and groom-to-be wanted one of its pristine, sandy beaches with a clear, blue sea as the backdrop for their Hindu wedding. Based on this desire, we sent them several proposals for beachside venues in Italy. After that the couple decided to come visit a resort in Paestum, Salerno, in Southern Italy, not far from the Amalfi coast.

The bride fell immediately in love with this resort – the beautiful setting with its lavish greenery contrasting the white of the venue, the perfection of every detail, and the staff’s consideration and attention to the customer. In addition, all of the guests could stay at the resort (which is able to accommodate up to 200 people). Thereby they not only were able to enjoy the wedding itself, but they could also relax in the swimming pool and enjoy the sandy beach and crystal clear sea, exactly as Reshal and Manish wanted. It was clear that, thanks to our experience in planning Indian weddings, we were able to propose the perfect venue for this couple.
After months of planning, their Big Day finally arrived, with all the guests flown to Italy, ready to enjoy the celebrations. Unfortunately, despite being held in May, it was unusually rainy for the period. Therefore we were forced to hold the wedding indoors inside one of the venue’s large, white rooms, instead of on the beach as originally planned.
Despite this, however, this Indian wedding was absolutely beautiful. Everyone enjoyed it, with the colorful and buzzing Baraat guided by our Dohl player in the dancing and whistling procession. The groom rode in on a white horse which we personally decorated, making sure that all the Indian traditions were respected, even under the circumstances of the poor weather. The bride changed twice for the Hindu ceremony. First, she donned a white lehenga for putting the garland on the groom before the ceremony. And then she changed into a truly one-of-a-kind lehenga with a green top and a white gown with big pastel flowers.
After the ceremony, the weather cleared for few hours, giving the newlyweds the possibility to take couple’s pictures on the beach. With the blue sea behind them, it was exactly as they had desired. The celebrations finished with an elegant reception featuring the best of both Italian and Indian food. Indian dishes were expertly prepared by our Indian chef and served by the professional brigade of the venue.
Despite the weather, everything was perfect, and the positive review of the couple is proof that only a wedding planner who specializes in Indian weddings is able to make the dream of having a beautiful, traditional, and stress-free Indian wedding in Italy come true!
We just had our wedding, and it’s all thanks to Svetlana and her organizing skills, planning the whole lot, and these are just a few words to kinda talk about what we’ve gone through. So it all started when we met Sheena in the UK. She got married in Italy herself and introduced us to Svetlana, thank you Sheena! Svetlana has had a lot experience in planning Indian weddings and she made our dream come true. We wanted a venue where all the guests – approximately 100 people – could relax, because there were babies and families with kids,
