Glamorous civil wedding in a classy resort in Tuscany
Dimple and Minesh chose a white-dress ceremony in Italy. Fortunately, this resort in Tuscany allows civil weddings on site, and the city’s mayor himself came to celebrate our Indian couple’s wedding. To differentiate the legal wedding setup from the Indian wedding one, we decided to create a completely different setting. Therefore, we put the chairs in a circle, divided into 4 segments, and we put a beautiful round arch in the middle. The choice of the colors was not easy, because we had to match the navy blue of the bridesmaids’ dresses, the salmon pink of the groom’s tie and the pure white of the bride’s dress. But the final result was so good that we recreated the same color palette into the bride’s bouquet and the groom’s boutonniere, using giant blue hydrangeas that we also put on the lanterns along the white aisle – every detail was taken into consideration.
Navy blue wedding decor
Eight beautiful bridesmaids in a long navy blue dress were carrying a big baby’s-breath bouquet, forerun by the flower girls. Before the reading of the Italian laws for the civil wedding, two friends of the couple read poems and speeches, while the string duo played classical music. Even the floral rings pillow was decorated to match the three colors of the wedding, and at the end of the ceremony, colorful confetti were thrown to the newlyweds. The peak moment of this celebrative day was the stratospheric reception in the banquet room of the resort. Thanks to our excellent florist, we created a real enchanted forest, bringing more than 40 trees inside, where we hung jars with tealight and lanterns with candles to create a magic effect. On the guests tables we put elegant crystal candelabra, wrapped with ivy, with long blue candles and some vintage blue-glass jars on the bottom.
As it can be seen in the photos, the color blue was the leitmotif of the entire event. The newlyweds’ attire for the dinner reception followed this color palette too. In fact, she wore a blue dress with golden embroideries, and he wore a gold suit with blue embroideries. When the newlyweds made their entrance, we lit up the Sparkular – cold fireworks which are allowed indoors. A full-on-Italian menu was served for dinner, to let all the guests taste the real Italian cuisine, which they really enjoyed. And the wedding cake was a giant squared millefeuille pastry cake garnished with berries. There were emotional speeches, funny sketches and surprise dances – hence, no one got bored. And thanks to the amazing DJ Anish, everyone danced until late night, having the time of their lives.
