Elegant Sikh wedding ceremony in the countryside of Italy
Kiran and Gurj’s wedding was the peak of three days of wonderful celebrations in an elegant resort hidden in the mountains of Tuscany. Being the couple Sikh, we organized an authentic Anand Karaj for them in the garden of the resort. By now many know that Best Indian Weddings Italy is able to organize authentic Sikh weddings in private villas where couples do not have to give up the possibility of enjoying the wonderful Italian landscapes even during the wedding ceremony.
Kiran and Gurj, for their wedding day, both for the ceremony and for the reception, chose various shades of purple and lilac as their color palette. It couldn’t have been a better choice as it is precisely in that period that the wisteria blooms, of which the resort is full. We started early in the morning with the Baraat. The groom used an elegant convertible vintage car which perfectly matched his beige and ivory Sherwani. The very elegant groom, with his mauve turban, was accompanied by two dhol players. All his family and friends danced through the streets of the resort.
Kiran, wonderful in her light mauve lehenga with beautiful embroidery and stones, and beautiful jewels to complete the outfit. And obviously the Mandap was in theme with the bride and groom’s outfits, beautifully set up by our trusted floral designer. He played with flower compositions in shades of lilac, mauve and ivory that intertwined with the Mandap creating cascades of flowers on the powder-colored drapes. The cushions for the guests and those for the bride and groom were also in various shades of purple and lilac, to complete this ‘dreamy’ setup. As the bride told us.
We also risked getting caught in the rain, but luckily we were ready to cover the Mandap from above and protect the holy book. After the ceremony, the traditional Indian lunch awaited guests on the resort’s veranda. It was prepared by our Indian team chef with delicious and authentic food for everyone’s enjoyment. Immediately afterwards there was the emotional Doli, and a romantic photoshoot of the newlyweds.
Liliac and mauve decor theme from the Sikh ceremony to the reception
For the evening reception, Kiran and Gurj chose the main square of the resort with a beautiful view of the mountains. Given their number of guests, we managed to accommodate everyone in this square with round tables and leaving space in the middle for dancing. For the setup, the lilac and mauve theme continued, and our floral designer outdid himself with wonderful centerpiece compositions, which embellished the guests’ tables, while the top table was a true symphony of flowers. Above the square, a roof of fairy lights illuminated the evening. A breathtaking setup.
Unfortunately, just before the start of the cocktail hour, the weather suddenly changed and it started raining. In a hurry, our entire team, together with the resort team and the florist team, had to move the tables under the adjacent covered veranda, so as to allow guests to still enjoy the view.
After dinner, fortunately it had stopped raining so we were able to have the cake cutting, the speeches and the dances under the wonderful roof of lights. Since the groom is in the music industry, the DJ team was also of the highest level: three DJs who entertained the guests in an excellent manner at the various events.
There was also the reveal of the beautiful cast of Kiran and Gurj’s hands, presented by the artist herself who had finished it in those days, covered in purple velvet and decorated with luminous precious stones. To end the event in style there was a fireworks display and the launching of balloons as a good wish. And then everyone went to the disco club to continue dancing.
A wonderful event that we had the pleasure of organizing for this wonderful couple who will always remain in our hearts.
