Sikh pre-wedding events in Italy with a wow-factor

For their Sikh wedding in Italy, Kiran and Gurj invited almost 200 guests mainly from the UK who participated in the three days of celebrations of this wonderful couple. It was important for the couple to provide maximum comfort to their guests. They wanted to avoid traveling from one venue to another or having a too rigid wedding schedule. For this reason they asked us to find a venue that could host so many guests and which had different spaces for their various events. We proposed various solutions, such as resorts in Tuscany, during our venue scouting service. After visiting their favorite ones, they chose a wonderful resort located in the mountains near Lucca, in the northern part of Tuscany. This resort is very popular for Indian weddings and for large weddings in general. It has many high-level rooms and also many

external and internal spaces that allow events to be managed in a dynamic way. Having the comfort of being all together in a resort that also offers various facilities such as restaurant, bar, spa, swimming pools, gym, tennis courts, all surrounded by mystical landscapes, was certainly one of the reasons why Kiran and Gurj chose this wonderful place.

The date chosen for the wedding was at the end of April. It’s a perfect period as it is usually not very hot so you are not forced to have the ceremony under the scorching sun, nor is it too cold, so in the evening you can enjoy your events al fresco. And this is what many couples who reach us are looking for: to have an outdoor wedding in Italy surrounded by fantastic landscapes.

Italian mood for the first pre-wedding event

The celebrations began with a welcome party by the pool, with a typical pizza party that we always suggest as the first event to introduce guests to the Italian mood, delighting them with delicious Italian pizzas accompanied by an Aperol spritz or Italian wine and artisanal ice cream. An idea that Kiran and Gurj loved, and they chose to embrace this theme for their welcome party. The setup we created was full of lemons, aromatic herbs and Italian majolica, with a Spritz corner and an ice cream cart. But the highlight of the setup was a giant moon illuminated in the center of the pool. A personalized moon for Kiran and Gurj which illuminated their evening and on which, to the guests’ surprise, a video was projected telling the couple’s story. This was definitely the definition of a wow-factor.

All the guests were astonished by this beautiful moon. And it didn’t end there! Another surprise, something that is becoming viral for Indian weddings, was the cast of their hands. It was made by a very talented Italian artist who created it on-site, while Kiran and Gurj exchanged their vows in front of their loved ones. Vows that were sealed in that moment like their hands in the cast. And after this elegant dinner by the pool, it was time for the ‘real’ party. Everyone moved to the resort’s dance club to dance until late at night with the talented DJ, as if they were really in a club. And it couldn’t have been otherwise considering that the groom works in the music industry and therefore it was very important for him to have a party like this.

Amazing space transformation for the glamorous pre-party

The second day it was time for the Sikh pre-wedding events. In the morning there were the couple’s Maiyans on two separate terraces which we set up with typical Indian decor. In the evening there was Jaggo, which was held in the resort’s huge auditorium. Being it a very large room, there was a need to decorate it so as not to make the space ‘empty. At the same time it gives the possibility of decorating it in different ways depending on the event you choose to have there.

For this typical Sikh pre-wedding event, the high walls were covered with long drapes of colored curtains in fuchsia, orange and emerald. An impeccable job done by our trusted floral designer. The room was divided into three parts to create a different environment for each occasion. In the center there were dinner tables with orange tablecloths and lanterns. Near the stage there were henna corners where the talented henna artists were available to guests.

And in the entrance area there were food stalls for Indian street food prepared by our Indian chef, which guests greatly appreciated. The DJ station was set up on the stage, with a big LED wall where the photos of Kiran and Gurj’s engagement were projected. Obviously the dancefloor was located right below the stage, marked by a beautiful personalized film, with peacocks and the couple’s logo. The entrance of the bride and groom was accompanied by famous Dhol players from the UK who also accompanied the Jaggo with the meeting of the two families.

We at Best Indian Weddings Italy love Indian traditions and make sure that none of our couples give up such important moments of their wedding celebrations, to ensure that their weddings respect traditions even if in another country.
